Jeez

Posted by: julynell on: September 11, 2008

“So it’s been 3 months. Holy shit, 3 months?!? Are you sure? Yes, look at the date on the last post…it says 10th of June…”

Okay, so I neglected this a bit. A quick recap on things; we have been awfully busy. One birthday after the next and I redecorated the living room.
The plan was to do it together but Croga got a new assignment for which he had to travel to Amsterdam every day, so he couldn’t help me. I did it on my own in two weeks. I painted the walls and the ceiling. Everything white, except for one wall, which is a dark red. Next to that we bought a new couch and a new dinner table, which are still to be delivered. Hopefully they will arrive a week before my birthday (which is the 8th of november). And we got new curtains. Our living room looks pretty nice right now :D It’s ‘our’ place, right now, after six years of living here :) About time, I think :)

So all is well :)

I’m still busy hand drawing a design for my new website. I’m still trying to learn php. Still busy stitching for the next new born, which is expected in december and is the second child of my best friend and her husband.

Ah well, as long as there are things I like to do, I’m not doing bad. It’s when you get bored, when you should ask yourself what you are doing. Use your time well, it’s too short as it is :)

Oi, where’s your own hosted blog? :P

LOL Still busy trying to create a hand-drawn design :) Actually, I came to the conclusion that is better done with a drawing tablet, which I will hopefully get for my birthday. As you know, that’s not before november ;)
http://www.julynell.com is already there but there is a ‘under construction’ on it, still :)

Warrior of Light

When a warrior is the victim of injustice, he usually tries to be alone, in order not to show his pain to others.

This is both good and bad.

It is one thing to allow one's heart to heal it's wounds slowly, but it is quite another to sit all day in deep contemplation for fear of seeming weak.

Inside each of us there lives an angel and a devil, and their voices are very alike. Confronted by a problem, the devil encourages that solitary conversation, trying to show us how vulnerable we are. The angel makes us reflect upon our attitudes and occasionally needs someone else's mouth to reveal itself.

A warrior balances solitude and dependence.
